Veenat 100 Capsule is an anti-cancer medication. It is used in the treatment of blood cancer and gastrointestinal stromal tumour.

Veenat 100 Capsule belongs to the class of medicines known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It should be taken in a dose as recommended by the doctor. You should continue to take it as long as your doctor advises. The duration of treatment varies according to your needs and response to treatment. Your doctor may advise for regular monitoring of blood counts and liver function while you are taking this medicine. It is important to inform the doctor about all the medications you are taking, including over the counter medicines and dietary supplements.

Water retention and swelling are very common side effects of Veenat 100 Capsule. Thus, notify your doctor if you have an unexpected rapid weight gain. It may also cause dizziness or blurring of vision, so do not drive or do anything requiring concentration. This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so it is better to use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Diarrhea may also occur, so drink plenty of fluids. But, you must inform the doctor if it does not stop or you find blood in stools.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not chew, crush or break it. Veenat 100 Capsule is to be taken with food.

Veenat 100 Capsule is an anti-cancer medication. A protein enzyme, bcr-abl tyrosine kinase, responsible for the growth of abnormal proliferation of cancer cells. This medicine inhibits the proliferation and induces apoptosis (planned cell death) in bcr-abl positive cells (cancer cells). This is how it works to stop or slow the spread of cancer.
